Maintaining A Healthy Relationship

Maintaining a healthy relationship

We often speak on how to forgive and how to let go. But I think its time we spoke on how to maintain a healthy happy relationship and no it’s not impossible. If you apply these steps to your relationship you will increase the longevity as well as the happiness.

Compromise- It seems as though this would be obvious but its not. Learning how to compromise from the biggest down to the smallest details will help you have a healthy ship There is a CLEAR difference between compromise. I’m not saying to compromise who you are but to compromise how you handle things. From small things like what to watch, what to eat, where to go all of these things are small but having an equal balance of what you like and what she likes helps the 50 50 process.

Listening- Everyone is not a good listener and some hear what they want to hear. Another key to a healthy relationship is being a good listener. One way to test ur listening skills is, if you hear your mate mention something such as a place she would like to visit, or a dessert she would like to try surprise her. Surprise her and take her to the restaurant or make the dessert she mentioned. This shows ur ability to listen as well as take the time to make her happy.

Communication- A lot of relationships go bad becuz of lack of communication. When starting a relationship a person should know enough information about who you are now, who u were, and where you plan on going. I’m not saying say OVER TALK about ur ex but that should have a general idea of what happened and know ur current status with ur ex’s meaning whether yall talk or not. They should know what you currently have going on and what ur future plans are. So many people don’t know one of these or even all 3 so when situations arise they don’t handle it right because they didn’t not have preparation.

Another part of communication is daily activities if your and your partner are in sync they should know where you are and what you doing for the day. Keeps down confusion and also helps keep the trust. Even if its I have practice then dinner that communicating to them and it shows you can be responsible and trusted.
